PUBLIC NOTICE MEADVILLE AREA WATER AUTHORITY 2019 WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT PUBLIC NOTICE The Meadville Area Water Authority (MAWA) owns and operates a public water system serving the City of Meadville and West Mead, Vernon, and Woodcock Townships located in Crawford County, in northwestern Pennsylvania. MAWA also provides bulk water to the Vernon Township Water Authority. MAWA’s water system consists of seven groundwater wells, treatment plant, pump station, four finished water storage tanks and a distribution system. MAWA is pursuing PENNVEST funding for this project. This process requires the MAWA to notify and allow the general public to comment on the project. MAWA proposes waterline and valve replacements to upgrade aged and unreliable waterlines in the City of Meadville. The preliminary estimated project costs are $3,000,000. It is anticipated that the user fees will increase based on this project. This notice begins the 30-day comment period to allow the general public to review and comment on the proposed project. The general public may review the proposed project plans at MAWA’s office and may provide comments to the Meadville Area Water Authority, 18160 Rogers Ferry Road, Meadville, PA 16335. CITY OF BATESVILLE ORDINANCE #06-2018 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLACING OF ADDITIONAL STOP SIGNS AT THE JUNCTION OF ENTERPRISE DRIVE AND COMMERCE DRIVE WHEREAS, due to safety concerns as identified by the local businesses, Council is desirous of stop signs being added at the intersection of Enterprise Drive and Commerce Drive.
