PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Randolph Township Supervisors will vote to enact Ordinance 2013-1, Ordinance to repeal Ordinance 2004-1, at our next public meeting which will be heed on December 18, 2013 @ 7:00 pm at the Randolph Township Building, 28631 Guys Mills Road, Guys Mills, PA 16327 RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP CRAWFORD COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA ORDINANCE NO. 2013-1 AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 2004-1, THE ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP'S ADMINISTRATION OF THE PENNSYLVANIA CONSTRUCTION CODE. Whereas, in 2004 in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act, Randolph Township adopted an Ordinance entitled An Ordinance to Adopt the Uniform Construction Code in Accordance with Provisions of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act, by which Randolph Township authorized Randolph Township’s administration of the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC): and Whereas, the Township Supervisors believe the interests of the Township residents will be best served by relinquishing the administration of the UCC to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, as permitted under the provisions of the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act: Now Therefore, Be it Ordained and Enacted by the Board of Supervisors of Randolph Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, and it is hereby enacted and ordained by and with the authority of same as follows: Section 1. Randolph Township Ordinance #2004-1 adopted in 2004 is hereby repealed in its entirety, effective July 1, 2014, 180 days after the date that written Notice of the Township’s decision to not enforce the Uniform Construction Code was given to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and industry. Section 2. Following the effective date of the Ordinance, the Uniform Construction Code of Pennsylvania will be administered and enforced in Randolph Township by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry or such other agency or entities as the state may designate or allow. Section 3. This acknowledges and approves of the Notice forwarded to the Department of Labor and Industry on December 23, 2013, of the Township;s termination of its local administration of the UCC, as required. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 2014. 12/1/2013
